    McSkillet = McNasty

    by dkeener posted: 2/28/2008 8:47:00 AM

    Now anyone that knows me can see that I am a bit of a food connoisseur.  There isn't much out there that I wont try, let alone not finish.  Well today, I met my match.  In case you haven't heard, McDonalds is offering up a free McSkillet today and tomorrow (2/28-2/29) to anyone that purchases a medium or large pop during breakfast hours. Despite my better judgment (why would anyone give away anything for free unless the sales suck), I went ahead and ordered a medium coke so I could claim my free prize.  Maybe it is the upper Midwest Ohio native in me, but the McDonald's McSkillet is awful.  It tasted like sh*t, plain and simple.  A flour tortilla wrapped around a halved sausage patty, some mushy potatoes, salsa, "eggs", shredded cheese and some other putrid sauce just did not sit well with my taste buds or my stomach.  I normally love McDonald's food, but this is one thing I will never try again.  Here I am an hour and a half later, and my stomach is churning and the foul after taste is still resonating in my mouth.  If I had to pull a silver lining out of the experience, I would say that it woke me up out of my normal morning stupor.  I know there are people that probably love this thing, but this guy isn't one of them.

    Rocket Italian

    I am not much of a guy who thinks in so deeply about web design but I think your post had some valid points in it. Like designers are forced to design stuff within the limited code available and not go beyond it, their innovation is somewhat limited but still I think Web Design won't die! I agree that Amazon and other some big sites won't have a blog but now a days it's very important to have some sort of option available so people can quickly communicate their thoughts. I think Amazon if wants to shift it to that, they can get a customized CMS for themselves.
