Live blogging ther Spike Video Game Awards - Update 1

by chusemann posted: 12/9/2007 10:29:09 PM

It seems pretty stupid to blog an event when we already know the events but there are my notes from the first 30 minutes of the show:

    - Always fun when the show is aired after the awards have been handed out
    - Tila Tequila - really?  The Game industry can't do better than this?
    - Spike TV - the Tommy Boy of cable network TV
    - Urban gynast guy to start with - not bad but this trend is already starting to get old
    - Foo fighters and Steve Levy trying to break the Donkey Kong record - could be kind of cool
    - Bioshock/Detroit joke was pretty good
    - Some kids from The Hills - Might be important if I watched the show
    - Nice to see them ruin the Assassin's Creed plot
    - Cris Angel....really? We know you're a fraud, have seen the videos on YouTube
    - Rainbow Six Vegas 2 preview - nice and oversexxed and no game footage - weak
    - Nice to see Video games live getting some work
    - Dave Navarro presents best game based on a TV/Movie - this is like picking which STD you want to get.   Simpsons win...
    - Foo Fighters - Not sure if they have fallen this low, like video games, or are just plugging their new album
    - Missed opportunity to have gamers playing the foo fighters song on Rock Band while bad is playing song live
